A small, vibrant team that works out of a sun-drenched loft, surrounded by musical instruments, cameras, canvas and paint. We all walked in from different, yet closely connected worlds, and now create stories with poetry, pictures, film, music… Collectively, we have spent over 50 years in our respective fields, working for marquee organisations and brands from diverse arenas: healthcare, tourism, fashion, infrastructure, education, retail,
finance & banking, social… And our stories keep lifting hearts as well as revenue figures.

This compact paperback emulated the Bibles of yore in look and feel, and caught the users’ imagination so much, it went into its second edition. And yes, managers’ awareness about processes and practices improved multi-fold.

Athani Hospital, the Kerala-based ortho specialty centre with a strong social focus, wanted hoardings to promote their affordable knee surgeries. We spent time with happy patients and their caregivers, and thus sprang up a series of outdoor messages featuring real beneficiaries. Today, Athani enjoys a strong reputation as the ‘Hospital with a Conscience’.

Off we went to a hillside retreat, and helped the leaders discover innate storytelling and musical skills. Soon, the sales stories took wing… with zero help from PowerPoint!

What happens when a bunch of storytellers are moved by a devastating flood? They tell stories to raise funds. That’s exactly what happened when we created Coffee Goes Bananas – a medley of performances – from storytelling to comedy to music - to support Kerala and Kodagu. The event was held ay MyBoTree, Bangalore, to a full house, collecting a hearty packet.

Moving Tales

CHARACTERS

Pramod started his career photographing weddings and developing black-and-white images. After 25 years in advertising, writing copy and directing campaigns, he caught up with his old muse – poetry. Today, Pramod is a performing storyteller, author and coach. Yes, he also takes black-and-white pictures of very colourful stuff, and has a 3-member band called The Rickshaw Muse.

Zac is the quietest of us all. His Zen-like poise and deeply resonant moods help us add meaning to every story. With his legendary way with people and verse, Zac chairs our monthly poetry event, called – you guessed it – Poetry With Zac. Now in his 4th year, Zac loves listening to Jack Johnson when he’s not chasing cats.

Shikhin is a footballer, automobile enthusiast and art director. He creates vibrant stories for diary products, jewellery, fashion, FMCG and organic food; his work for the traffic police created quite a flutter in the media. Got a long weekend? Ask Shikhin for a ride towards the Ghats, with a few stories to spare.

Derick Thomson studied Computer Science and Engineering, and made a U-turn into graphic design, walking straight into our loft. His love for Photoshop happened while mashing together friends’ pictures into funny situations. An avid bibliophile, Derick chomps through sci-fi and fantasy at breakfast. Pop culture? TV shows? Movies? Comics? Pop? Derick’s lean, 5 foot-seven frame is an encyclopaedia of it all.

Her oddball mixture of science and art make for interesting conversations. An architect by training and graphic designer by choice. she dabbles in many things from poetry to gaming. She's on a quest for the truth found in that perfect cup of tea, while knocking over sacred cows en route.
